A 12-Year-Old Victim Update

On 10 July 2026 I received an email stating that Deputy Headteacher, Sarah Catterall, had reported my 12-year-old child to the Metropolitan Police. Ms Catterall did not contact me regarding any alleged ‘concerns’ before making this report. In fact, she bypassed all internal school processes in favour of subjecting my child to police intervention.

I have now received confirmation from the police that no criminal investigation will take place in relation to the claims made by Ms Catterall.

In due course, I will be publishing a piece regarding this allegation and the involvement of the Metropolitan Police Schools’ Team.

I believe that my child’s story has a broader relevance to the role of police officers in schools and how Black and minority ethnic children can be affected by this.
